Majoring In Mathematics
Careers in mathematics can be exciting and very rewarding. To explore some career possibilities in Mathematics, please speak with a Mathematics Advisor and/or visit MCC Career Services.
Students who plan to transfer and earn a baccalaureate degree with a major in mathematics for preprofessional preparation for careers as mathematics teachers, industrial mathematicians, computer scientists, professional actuaries and the like may wish to earn the A.S. degree in Mathematics (MC02). A Mathematics Advisor can help with planning your classes.
Current 2+2 Programs
We also have 2+2 dual admission programs offered by Monroe Community College and selected four-year institutions in Mathematics. Each 2+2 degree program requires a specific audit sheet for those students enrolled, and the audit sheet can also be used for those planning to transfer to one of those four-year institutions. These degree audit sheets can help with planning your academic classes here at MCC and should be reviewed with a Mathematics Advisor.
Below is a list of current 2+2 programs, their degree codes, and links to their degree audits.
