InQuizitive for PSY 101

InQuizitive is an online study-aid quizzing tool designed by the textbook publisher, Norton & Company. InQuizitive is very useful for checking your knowledge of textbook content. It contains quizzes for each of our modules, but completion of these is voluntary and not counted as part of your grade.

ZAPS, however, is required and counts for 10% of your final grade. ZAPS is a set of demonstrations that highlight certain concepts from the modules and provide a glimpse into research procedures used to investigate these concepts in psychology labs. Each ZAPS assignment ends with a short quiz.

You can access ZAPS and InQuizitive through BrightSpace (either a link in your class section or the PSY-101 Testing Center class). You'll see it as a main link in the Testing Center class content.

Watch a short introductory video on using InQuizitive for a brief introduction. The video explains how to enter your registration code – which you will have received with the purchase of a new textbook – or how to purchase access for $25. You also have an option to purchase an eBook (with registration). The procedure for accessing ZAPS is the same. Be sure to access ZAPS through the link in Brightspace. Do not use any other URL.

A link to purchase an eBook should also be available in your class section in BrightSpace. The eBook includes access to InQuizitive and ZAPS.
